How Does a Superbill Work?

Essentially, a superbill is a tool for getting reimbursed by insurance after you've paid upfront (Lactation Lab is currently only self-pay).

A superbill is a detailed receipt or invoice that includes all the information needed for you to submit a claim to your insurance company. Even though you're paying for the appointment out of pocket (either before or at the time of your visit), you can still use the superbill to ask your insurance company for reimbursement. It will have things like the date of your visit, the services provided, and the codes your insurance company needs to process your claim.

After your appointment, I'll provide you with a superbill, and you can send it to your insurance company directly for reimbursement (if your plan allows for it). This can help you get some of your money back, depending on your insurance coverage. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sliding Scale and Payment Plans

I understand that cost can be a barrier to accessing services, so I offer a sliding scale fee based on your ability to pay. This means your fee will be adjusted based on your household income, and we can discuss your individual situation to determine a suitable amount.
